Your Introduction to Massage Therapy Training
LMT Level 1 is not all book work! You are introduced to the foundations upon which all bodywork is built: honesty, awareness and compassion. Students are educated in massage history, massage theory, general benefits of massage, hygiene / sanitation, universal precautions, standards of practice, ethics, body mechanics, draping and positioning, specific massage strokes, assessment of clients’ condition, contraindications to massage, and record keeping.
In addition to techniques in Swedish massage and acupressure, Level 1 includes seated massage, and introductions to advanced techniques, such as Hot Stones, Acupressure, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Chakra Balancing, Energy Healing principles, TCM, special populations, energy-based techniques, benefits, indications and contraindications of massage for specific clients’ condition, with problem solving and a treatment plan.

Advanced training in massage therapy, and holistic studies. Quantum School of Massage & Holistic Health has a 200 hour core requirement for the professional track Licensed Massage Therapist (those seeking a massage license). Some of these courses such as Lomi, Shiatsu, Thai, Medical Massage, Deep Tissue, Pre-Natal, are also accredited for Continuing Education Units for licensed massage therapists wishing to deepen, review or learn advanced techniques from master teachers.
NOTE: "LMT Professionalism/Ethics" is a required course for State License requirements. However - Students may choose from the following courses to fulfill their 200 hours for

LMT 3 - Supervised Clinical Practice (200 hrs)
Massage Therapy Training – Clinical Practice is a 200 hrs supervised Clinical Practice Program at our Community Clinic where students learn hands-on, how to help clients relieve pain, heal faster, and enjoy a greater overall well-being. Throughout this clinical phase of our licensed massage therapist program, students will gain confidence and competence to perform massage to a variety of clients and teaches record keeping and Clinical Operations, including sanitation. Minimum clinical duration is six months.
* This course is taken concurrently with Massage Therapy Training (LMT) Level 2, advanced courses.
PRE-REQUISITE: Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) – Level 1.
SCHEDULE: Students will select one to three 5 hour clinic sessions per week, performing one to three massages during the five hour clinic.

ABOUT THIS PROGRAM
Level 1: 200 hours. Required for LMT Diploma, but also open to individuals interested in massage therapy for self-healing and to share with friends and family. In this 200 hour hands-on course You will be inspired and well educated to practice massage therapy safely as a gift to your family and community at no charge. Our belief is that massage is for everyone, and so anyone can complete Level 1, regardless of whether they want to go further to become a licensed therapist or not. Program duration: 200 hours.
Level 2 & 3 LMT Massage School requirements for the professional Licensed Therapist (LMT) includes 3 levels designed to satisfy all of the academic requirements to sit for the Hawaii state examination and develop a successful career in massage therapy in a medical office, spa or as an entrepreneur. Program Duration: Massage Basic LMT1 is 200 hours, LMT 2 (advanced modalities) 200 hours, + Supervised Student Clinic 200 hours. Total 600 hours can be completed 10-12 months. Additional elective and advance bodywork classes and CE available.
